It's been awhile hasn't it? I just got back from a 3 week well needed vacation on the East Coast. Spent Christmas with my Mom, went to the Winter Classic and just relaxed. Now that I'm back home, I'm ready to start working again. SO HERE'S TO THE NEW YEAR!! Oh, and here's a picture from the Winter Classic.

So, I've been busy yet again. Bravado wanted to me add 1 more design to the 2 Rage Against the Machine shirts I did originally. Also, Rokk is doing a line with Monster so I've been working with that as well.. Here is both

So, it's been awhile......... I've been asked to do 2 Rage Against the Machine shirts and Rokk Clothing asked me to "update" the Jager shirt and make it more more "punk". Here is all 3.

The Rage shirts are;
1. Is supposed to symbolize the idealistic American thought. How we always want war no regardless of what we say.

2. Represents the number of death in Iraq both US & Iraqi.

So, Jagermeister wants to do a shirt with Rokk Clothing for their upcoming "Music Tour". I came up with 2 ideas, lets see how they like em.. I took a different approach with this one and tried to do a design with more photoshop and little lighting flares.

I'm on this message board / forum called "Yayhooray"& there is a thread called "Something Cool Everyday" in which people design / draw something new everyday. I really like this idea & I'm going to try my hardest to design something new everyday either for a client or myself. I think doing this will help tighten my design chops and I believe only good can come out of this. Today was my first day at trying this and it may have taken longer than I originally thought / wanted but oh well, its for the better right ? So here is the design, I'm thinking of maybe making a silk screened print of it but who knows.... We'll see..

So, Rokk Clothing asked me to do 2 more designs in rush due to ASR and a catalog that is being rapped up tomorrow, so I did what I do best.. RUSH WORK. I'm actually pleased with my progress I've been making expanding my horizons and trying to do involve freehand with Potatoshop skills. I also have the Led Zeppelin deadline creeping up on me, I need to bust out one more T-Shirt for them.

*EDIT* I just finished the final Led Zeppelin design, so I'm done way before the deadline which is weird due to the fact I'm a huge procrastinator when it come to this stuff. Yet again, I'm surprising myself daily / hourly.

So, another year and I'm hoping to make it a good one. I finished another Led Zeppelin shirt, this one is a woman's design and for some reason I'm in this Art Nouveau phase. They said they wanted some vintage, and that's what the 2 designs have been vintage with a modern day kick. Here's the shirt, hopefully I can have the 3rd done by the end of the week.

I recently got commissioned to do a few shirts for Led Zeppelin, I have free range with all of their photos / album artwork so it's actually really interesting to design for a band you like and that your dad likes. I have one shirt semi-done, I still have some fine tuning but other than that I'm really happy with the outcome. Here's a sneak peak.

I should have more up in a few days, well I guess it doesn't matter anyways since no one reads this.. HAHAHA.

So, I just got back from a 2 week stint in Mass visiting my Mom who recently moved out there. It was so nice to get a break and just let my mind be free and empty. Rokk Clothing is having me do more shirts for them so I started working on some ideas, I've only knocked out one shirt but hey its better than no shirts. I have a few more ideas, lets see how those pan out in the long run. Here is the shirt I have done, now I gotta go back to the drawing board and get some more knocked out.

I've been a busy boy as of late, Bravado asked me to do some shirts for the Deftones this time. I've been trying to push myself out my "box" and try something new. They want something that is wacky and I thought it would be easy but its proving to be more difficult that I once thought. Here is one shirt, I have done so far... I'm gonna try and crank out 2-3 more in the next 8 hours.

Alright, just finished the 2nd design & while I was designing it I got caught up doing freehand lettering which I have never really tried to hard doing. Here is the 2nd design followed by the freehand lettering.

So I was asked to do a few more shirts for Metallica recently but this time they wanted more of a "Affliction" feel to the shirts and to have them based on previous songs/albums. I plan on doing 2 and I gave my friend Scott Lee a go on 2 as well. I've only finished one so far and I'm pretty confident that it will be picked up. Here is the 1st shirt titled "For Whom the Bell Tolls" :

Update, I've just finished the second shirt for Metallica & I'm excited about this one as well. As of late I thought I was in a creative stump but I think it's laziness. I'm very excited to send both of these off and see what the response is, this style really isn't my forte but I think I pulled it off very well. Here is the 2nd shirt titled "Creeping Death":

Well not much is new, I actually started working on a skateboard piece I never finished so that's coming soon. I also started a design for "Rockett" clothing, it's still a work in progress but none the less here it is in it's current state.

I'm trying to do a play on the Raiders logo, but change it up and make it more Beardsy. This is all being done on my new favorite illustration application "MangaStudio".

So about a month ago, I was asked to work on some designs for Metallica. Unfortunately, they were not picked up. I liked them too, I thought they fit and actually went really well with their new CD "Death Magnetic". Here they are so you know what I'm talking about.

This is the first of many blog posts regarding what's new with Lincoln Beard. Recently I've been trying to push my free-lance work around to hopefully get bites. It's been so so, nothing amazing (I'm still poor).

One of my clients I did work for "Rokk Clothing" has had me do a bunch of shirts recently. They even had me do a shirt for a non-profit organization for the upcoming elections. The shirt says "ROKK 1960", the reason it says is this is the voting numbers have yet to beat the election in 1960 between JFK & Nixon (Born & Buried in my hometown). The shirt turned out great and there have been a few celebs wearing them around, here are some pictures of Chris Mintz-Plasse (McLovin) & Seth Green reppin the shirt.
